NFL Weekend Rewind: Week 6 Stuck

1. Robert Griff -- Wow, Did You See That Run?

Robert Griffin III may be better than advertised this year, and that is really saying something. As of Monday, he's leading the league in completion percentage (70.2%) and is third in the league in QB Rating. Oh, and then there was this on Sunday...

Griffin III broke the hearts of the Vikings on this 76-yard touchdown run that sealed the win for the Redskins. Griffin, despite suffering a concussion last week against the Falcons had his most productive day on the ground as a pro, and had the longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback since Kordell Stewart's 80-yard run in 1996.

2. The AFC West Is A Mess

Not counting the Chargers, who could fall to 3-3 with a loss this evening against the Broncos, the AFC has just two teams with a winning record -- Both Baltimore and Houston sit at 5-1.

The AFC East is a four-way tie of mediocrity at 3-3. The AFC South likely should get some combination of relegation and contraction, save for the Texans. The AFC North suddenly looks wide open after the injury news that came out of Baltimore on Monday afternoon. And the AFC West, it is the home of Brady Quinn, starting quarterback for your Kansas City Chiefs.

3. Cleveland and Houston Reverse Roles

Welcome to the win column, Cleveland! Despite a limited performance from star running back Trent Richardson, the Browns were able to secure their first win of the season over their in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals. They also look like they have found a serious talent in Supplemental Draft Pick Josh Gordon out of Baylor/Utah.

Houston, meanwhile, suffered an embarrassing loss on Sunday night football at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. A dismantling not even I saw coming. While I did pick the Packers to win, I didn't see Aaron Rodgers having as big a day as he did. It looks like the Texans will really miss Brian Cushing.

4. The Pack Are Back

Aaron Rodgers throws for six touchdowns? Check. Jordy Nelson has his best game of the year, catching three of those touchdowns? Check. Alex Green was a serviceable replacement for Cedric Benson. Eh, sorta.

Rodgers seems to be rolling after the huge win in Houston. With games upcoming against St. Louis, Jacksonville and Arizona, Rodgers will be tested, but he can also be nearly impossible to stop at times. We'll see.

5. Atlanta Stands Alone

The Falcons needed a late field goal to take down Oakland at home, but the Falcons improved to 6-0 heading in to their bye week. I think it is safe to start talking undefeated season here.

Realistically, I see maybe 2-3 losses on the Falcons schedule, but they could go undefeated. Time will tell. I'd say their third game after the bye at New Orleans is where I would put my money on their first loss, if I were a betting man.

This was a crazy week...the Patriots lost on a last second TD to the Seahawks, the Jets blew up the Colts and my Dolphins actually won a close game. What is going on here?
